Where was the proof though that there is a God I cannot remember having any at that time, I was told that there was one and I believed. The ten commandments where there to guide you. The famous ones being thou shall not kill, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not steal, thou shall not say the name of God in vain, Obey your mother and your father. I did try to follow all of these things. Up till today I still do. I couple of things have changed though. The idea of going to church is not just in me any more. When I do make it to church, I enjoy some of the summon. The music I do like at lot. What I believe did it for me in church going is my secondary school. There was no obligation to go to church. The school did not make it mandatory. So by the time that I got home from secondary school the idea of church going was not in me anymore. I had also grown too big for mum to push me around to go to Church.
Forget about the church going though. How about the believe that there is a God. Somehow I want to believe that there is one. He does have a very strange way of showing his love though because of some of the things that the almighty allows some of his people to do unto others. Friends or so called friends making up terrible stories about innocent people. The one that really gets me is to see some of the biggest culprits, at least in the human eye all lined up in church every Sunday. The question that always come to my mind is why are these people in church in the first place. Are they not aware of all the atrocities and criminal activities in which they are involved in? The only answer that can come to my mind is that maybe they come to ask for forgiveness from God. But how to you keep on doing all the things that get you into the category of going to ask for forgiveness in the first place. It is just that easy for you to sin and just keep asking for forgiveness? Doesn't that defeats the purpose of being forgiven?
Where is the proof that there is a God? This is one of the toughest of all the questions. Christianity talks of God.The Muslims talk of Allah, which is also God. If there is one God , than which is the real one? Where is He anyway. Scientist each day are now coming out with newly discovered planets but nobody seems to have found where the Heaven is located. Maybe it will mysteriously show up when you do get to pass away. Maybe that is when all the the questions would get to be answered. The famous judgment day is when everbody would be lined up and the Almighty would seat on his chair and give directions. You pass this way, you go that way, you this way, you that way, that is how we all grew up imaging that it would happen. Now I am beginning to wonder whether that would every happen. How in hell do you get the time to judge the 6.5 billion or so people that make up the earth now and that would continue to increase until the suppose judgment day arrives. I would really like to see the look on some people faces if it does turn out that their is really an Almighty. The idea of Hell fire. How do you cope with something like your body burning continuously. Think about all the pain. I am really wondering whether this religion thing is not made up to try and keep at least some people at bay. I have heard people say that If they did not believe in God, they would be out there committing all sort of altrocities. I guess the deterrent of an Almighty God seems to be working in this such cases.
Yes I would say that I believe but there is just no way that it can be proven.
