The Benefits to Eating Every 2 Hours for Weight Loss

Coach Kym
Eating every 2 hours might seem a little daunting. Who has the time? Who has the appetite? Won't eating that often make me gain weight? No, it won't if you do a little planning. Eating every 2 hours benefits include never being hungry, better digestion, improved sleep, weight loss and having a constant stream of energy throughout the day, and freedom to enjoy life events without worry.

There are several import things to remember when eating every 2 hours. First let's talk about making time. If you really want to make lasting changes and actually lose those unwanted pounds you have to make the time. It doesn't take long to eat a small meal every couple of hours. Seriously how long does it take to drink a healthy smoothie or eat a sandwich? Saying you don't have time is an excuse. If you have a bunch of excuses you are not ready to make permanent lifestyle changes.

If you are ready to give eating every 2 hours a try remember that protein is king, fat is queen, fiber is the prince and carbohydrates is the princess. You want to make your main focus of these meals mostly protein calorie wise, then you want a fat or you want fatty meat to begin with, then you should adding a carbohydrate with fiber.

For example a hamburger made with extra lean ground beef, mayo, lettuce and a light whole grain hamburger bun would be an excellent meal. You get the protein from the ground beef, the fat from the mayo and fiber and carbohydrate from the bun. If you are not hungry every two hours that just means eating every 2 hours is working, just eat something a little easier to digest or less filling, but stick to eating every 2 hours plan. You will never be hungry again.

Develop a schedule of small meals throughout the day and eat a larger meal with a nice dessert once a day, or swap dessert for a couple of drinks. Planning is the key for this type of lifestyle. It's a smart idea to come up with a list of easy to put together meals that for the most part be completely interchangeable caloric wise. Then, as I said have one meal per day that is free, but not a free for all. My clients have found that dinner is the best time for a larger meal.

The benefits to eating calorie controlled meals every 2 hours and one larger meal per day means you can enjoy all major events without going off your program. For example if you are into baseball you could go to a game and eat your regular stuff, a couple of hot dogs, a ice cream sandwich, and a couple of beers. Then two hours after you are finished with your larger meal you go back to eating your calorie controlled small meals, if the game was a night game you are done, but if it was an afternoon game you still can enjoy the rest of your day with having to feel like you have broke your diet.

If your sister is getting married you could eat every 2 hours all day and party at her reception and actually enjoy her wedding cake without breaking your diet, if you are the main cook at home you can cook and enjoy your family's favorite recipes and dessert without breaking your diet if you engaged in eating calorie controlled meals every 2 hours throughout the day.

Another benefit of eating every 2 hours is the amount of hunger control that helps you stay in control. When your larger meal comes along you don't have the same desire to pig out you might have had prior to using this dieting method. Eating this way is completely freeing, freeing you from being fat, freeing you from deprivation, freeing you from extra cooking, and freeing you to just have fun and enjoy life.

Toss in a little exercise and you have something you can do the rest of your life, effortlessly.
