The Benefits of Eating Fish Three Times a Week

destiny
In todays society everyone is trying to figure out how they can live a little longer. Over the years we have learned that maintaining a proper diet and little exercise everyday can take us a long way. We have also learned over the years that certain foods have healing power. Studies have shown that eating fish at least three times a week can be very beneficial to our over all health. Fish that live in cold water like mackerel, lake trout, flounder, albacore tuna and salmon contain fish oil.

Fish oil is oil from the tissues of oily fish that live in cold water and it's highly recommended for a healthy diet because it contains omega-3 fatty acids. Having plenty of fish in our diets has always been recommended, but scientific studies show that using a fish oil supplement provides a high enough dose of omega-3. Studies also recommend getting a daily dose of 3 grams of eicosanoids acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic (DHA) which are types of omega-3s in a supplement form.

These amazing supplements help reduce inflammation throughout the body. Fish oil offers several benefits especially to people who suffer from arthritis. The benefits include less stiffness in the mornings and fewer joint pains. In addition to the supplements, you can still get some healing benefits from fish oil, by enjoying the fish mentioned above at least three times a week.

The American Heart Association recommends the consumption of fish oil daily for patients suffering from coronary heart disease, preferably by eating fish. According to some experts fish oil (in any form) can help regulate the cholesterol in the body. From personal experience I have noticed a huge difference in the way that I feel, since I have introduced fish to my diet.

We all just want to be healthier and live longer, so why not give it a try, you will be amazed by the way you will feel. The next time that you go to the doctor, consult with him/her and see what will work best for you. In the meantime I would suggest investing in your health by trying some of the fish mentioned above. I Wish You Better Health!
