The Benefits of Having an Open Mind

An Open Mind

The benefits of having an open mind cannot be overstated in today's society.

Benefits Of Having An Open Mind

Some of the benefits of having an open mind are being able to find solutions to problems we face. When you approach life with an open mind, you have an acceptance of the fact that you don't know everything. This opens up a space within you for new information to come through.

Closed Off To New Ideas

As human beings, sometimes we're closed off to new ideas and we don't see the obvious that's standing right in front of us. For example, let's say you're looking for your keys and they're in your pocket. Or, you're looking for your hat and it's already on your head. I don't say this to point out the stupidity of it, I say it to get the point across that there's always room for growth and new ideas.

Big And Complicated

Everything doesn't have to be so big and complicated. When we have an open mind, we can see, that some things are simple and can be dealt with in a simple manner.

Learn New Things

Having an open mind also helps us learn new things. For example, I've had the experience before where I cling onto an idea so much that I don't see the new ideas coming in. Then, an-aha moment happens, and just as if a light bulb had gone on, it clicks, and everything makes sense. It's like an alcoholic who's trying to get sober, realizing that if he doesn't drink alcohol, he won't get drunk. Ah, the magic is beautiful.

Life With An Open Mind

Going through life with an open mind will always bring you new and useful ideas. What you do with this knowledge is up to you of course.

Love And Tolerance

When I have an open mind to new ideas, it allows me to see other people's points of view. We live in a big world and we have many different cultures that come together to function as one. It's nice to have some love and tolerance for each other as we do our best to expand our horizons in life.

I like the way you get the point across without a lot of extra words cluttering it up. Good job!

We should all have an open mind and be more tolerant.
