The Benefits of Listening to Silence

Silence

Kurt Evans
The benefits of listening to silence are largely unknown, except that all of the greatness of humanity tends to come from that silence.

Creative Energy

The silence could be seen as a link to the creative energy the universe runs on. All of life that exists is connected to this creative energy. The only way to shut yourself off from it is to stop breathing and stop existing, which is pretty hard to do because we're all made up of energy, and energy never dies, it just changes form. So you're never ever shut off from the creative energy of the universe, you can just choose to not acknowledge it, if you wish.

Ideas

Listening to silence is where you can think up new ideas. In the silence, you can try on new ideas and see if you like them. The ideas that you don't like, you can discard and come up with new ones.

Imagination

By listening to the silence, you can explore all the things that you can do in your imagination. Unfortunately, there's not a class in school that teaches you how to use your imagination, it's something that you have to figure out on your own.

Life

I'm here to help you figure out how to use your imagination, so that you can create what you want out of life. One of the challenges in life is figuring out what you want to get out of it. Some things are easier than others in life. When life is summed up in one word, I would have to use the word effort. Life seems to be about effort toward a specific goal or idea.

Effort

When effort is given, then you get a result. Whether or not you like those results is something that you have to chew on bit by bit. Sometimes you know exactly what you want and you expend the energy to get it. Then, when you get it, you enjoy it for a short period of time; until you're ready to move on to the next thing.

Inner Voice

When you listen to the silence, you get to hear your own inner voice. That voice that talks to you inside your head that nobody else can hear. By listening to your own inner voice, you can come up with ideas and solutions to problems you're facing.

Intuition

Your inner voice can even help you be creative and expand your imagination with new ideas. Your inner voice is not only the key to your imagination; it connects you to your intuition as well.

Listening To Silence

The next time you find yourself listening to silence, relish it and find the genius in it.

Fate strikes again! I've drafted an article on silence (inspired by psychology course) and am tightening it for publication. This article will compliment mine so I'll link to it. Great article. Different slant than I though of.

Ah, silence, the best sounds in life are quiet! I am a country girl who used to live on a quiet dead end road, but the city has built up around me. Grrrr. I want silence! Thanks for the article!

Excellent article, hon. I believe that silence is, indeed, crucial to our world, both in the past and right now. I believe that in it people can find intensity, serenity, drama and calm. And humans need all four of those.

Thanks Kurt. I'm fond of silence but it seems difficult to find in our noisy world.

Good article. I love to go to quiet, private lakes, because of the silence other than nature. Silence is a powerful healer. Laura Everly
