The Benefits of Organic Carpet Cleaning

Bennie Perry
There is no other single item in your home that your children and pets come into contact with more than your carpet. Many carpet cleaners on the market today use chemicals like butyloxy ethanol which is also called butyl to clean your carpet. This product has been known to cause damage to the central nervous system, kidneys, liver and blood.

One of the main benefits of organic carpet cleaning is that it uses a superior technology, which uses a mixture of vacuum slots and spray jets to thoroughly clean your carpet. The benefit of this is that it allows for a more thorough cleaning action while it extracts almost all of the liquid from your carpet making for a dryer carpet which can be used after roughly 3 hours instead of the usual period of several days.

An advanced organic carpet cleaning system will actually penetrate deep into the fibers of your carpet removing stubborn stains much better. This leaves less of a chance for the old stains to re-surface.

Benefits of Organic Carpet Cleaning

The cleaning solution is made from natural sources using the highest quality ingredients such as citrus peel, grapefruit seed extract and lime extracts, corn and coconut bases, natural live enzyme cultures, vegetable fiber, botanical extracts, natural minerals, vitamins, aloe, soybean, cider vinegar, meadow foam seeds, and white cedar leaf extracts. Many of the ingredients used in these products will normally biodegrade in less than 24 hours.

Organic Carpet Cleaning solutions are also free of hazardous compounds such MEA, EDTA or TEA, chlorine, quaternaries, silicone, artificial fragrance, linear alcohol from crude oil, phosphorus, glycol ether, butyl, caustics, borine, nonyl phenol, phenols, or coloring, optical brighteners which are all known carcinogens.

Organic Carpet Cleaning solutions are environmentally safe and many of the ingredients are tested in a variety of residential and commercial settings but never on animals. They also do not contain in any contaminants.

Vacuuming tips

It is recommended that you vacuum your carpet often, meaning at least once or twice a week because this allows for the removal of the abrasive soil that cuts and slices into the fibers causing premature wear. Much of this soil is not visible to the eye therefore It is also recommended that you vacuum before the carpet looks soiled. You should also remove any loose particles such as food, leaves ect, because these items can cause a spot on the carpet.

As a general rule of thumb you should always try to have your carpet cleaned by a professional at least once a year and for extremely heavy traffic areas you may want to have this done more often. When properly done by a professional, there should not be any residue left behind and can be done as many times per year as needed. Many warranties being offered today require that a professional clean the carper at least once every 2 years.

Last but not least always immediately remove any spots on your carpet to keep it looking like new. If your carpet is still fairly new, it should still have a sufficient amount of protector on it and plain tap water will remove many spots. But on the other hand if you have spots that will not come out with tap water you must use a spot cleaner.
