You have probably seen the dozens of free samples that arrive in the mail on a weekly basis for some. Of course not as many tend to show up as they used to. Nowadays in order to get a free sample you have to sign up for them. Often people see them more as a nuisance. However when money gets tight, those same free samples can save you money. Below are five things you can do with free samples, and how beneficial they can be. One of the biggest benefits of course is the fact that it will help you to discover new products that may be more affordable than the products you currently use. One thing you can not do with these free samples is resell them. So be sure to keep that in mind.
Start a stockpile
I realize that when you order free samples they only come in single portions, but why not use them as a jump start to your stockpile. If you think about it most of the stockpiles start with free items. You can focus on keeping like items together, so that you can keep things organized. I have done this in the past and have found in those moments when you run out of something; these free samples can come in handy.
Make a gift basket
Gift baskets are another way to use free samples. If you find that you are unable to use all of the items why not give them to someone who may need them. Be creative with how you arrange the gift baskets. This will help to give them a special and unique touch. If you are having a kid's party then perhaps you can make small goody baskets for the kids.
Prize bags
At some events during the year people use prize bags full of goodies to go to the winner of a game. For example, at a baby shower prize bags are filled up and given at the end of the contest. The free samples that you may have on hand would be perfect for this type of gift.
Donations
You can also give away the free samples that you have to a food bank or a local charity in your area. In most cases those donations are greatly appreciated. Stockpiling free samples and then giving to others who may not have access to them is really a great way to give back and help others.
