Language barrier is another thing. You have to take the initiative here. Go and meet the local people, greet them with a smile and you will definitely be able to make lifelong friends. Another way of connecting with the local people is by joining some groups like bands, clubs and coir. This gives you ample time to interact with the local people. You will meet daily, spend time together and in the process become good friends.

There are many students who just love the idea of studying abroad because of their travel interests. Well, traveling is definitely fun but only when done in limits. Don't travel at the cost of ignoring your studies. You can plan a vacation once every month or you can even go out on weekends. If you want to travel free of cost, join the varsity athlete team.
