The Best 20 Love Songs

Compiling a list of my favorite love songs is almost impossible. The list changes as I hear new songs that are worthy of inclusion. Besides, love songs are tricky. What is a love song, anyway? There are so many types: songs about mutual love, songs about unrequited love, and songs to put you in the mood for love, to name just a few. Then there are the various types of music; I've already compiled a list of the 20 best rock love songs, but now I have the difficult task of choosing 20 more love songs that don't necessarily have to be rock.

After deciding not to restrict my list to any one type of love song, I had some tough choices to make. Although I had to leave out some terrific songs, I compiled a list of 20 great love songs, in no particular order.
