The Best 3 Stores to Buy School Uniforms in Southwest Phoenix, Arizona

The first day of school in the Phoenix, Arizona area is just around the corner and it is time to go school clothes shopping!

For most parents this is a daunting chore and can be very frustrating. The expense coupled with the child's school clothing needs can turn a day of school clothes shopping into the worst day of the year. One advantage of living in the Phoenix, Arizona area is that most schools, public and private, require that the students wear uniforms. As a parent I find this requisite makes the school clothes shopping event much easier, on the budget as well as simplifying the shopping process, especially if your child is a girl! No more worries about certain separates matching, or what to wear the first day of school.....it is a uniform and they are all pretty much all the same!

Some schools in the Phoenix area require their own uniforms that you purchase through the specific school. But most schools have a basic uniform guideline of navy blue or khaki colored pants, shorts, skirts and dress jumpers united with various solid colored polo shirts. You will need to check with your child's school for the uniform requirements. School uniforms can be found in different stores through the valley. Living in the southwest area of Phoenix, Arizona for the past 2 years, I have found 3 stores in this area that offer great prices, a good selection of different items and also quality.

This store is my personal favorite because they carry school uniforms year round. Most other department stores only carry school uniforms at the beginning of the school year. Hi-Fashion offers Dickie brand uniforms and other good quality items in most sizes all year long. I was able to find a skinny styled uniform pant at this store for my daughter, that she loved and they held up all year long. The prices are reasonable and they often have sales. I have not seen advertising anywhere for this store; I just check the shop on a regular basis to see what is on sale. You could also contact the store by phone and they would be happy to answer your questions.

Wal-Mart is known for its great prices and they do offer a great selection of school uniforms including some Dickie brand items. Wal-Mart does not carry school uniforms year round but when they place these items on clearance you can even get a better deal. I have noticed that they do not carry a large selection for the middle school age student; they seem to cater more to the elementary age child.

Kohls prices are a little higher than Wal-Mart or Hi-Fashion but if you can not find what you are looking for at the other 2 stores chances are you will find it at Kohls. Kohls department stores carry Dickie as well as Arrow brand school uniforms. They have a great selection at the beginning of the school year, but like Wal-Mart, they clearance out their school uniforms later in the fall. If you have the opportunity to take advantage of these sales you will save a lot of money.
