We have them shows that we allow our children to watch. Educational shows are on parent's top rated on children television viewing. My five picks are Sesame Street, Dragon Tales, Dora the Explorer, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Barney and Friends. They all have a unique way of making the children want to watch it.
Sesame Street has been out for a very good while. It first aired in 1969. So maybe your parents and you watched when you were younger. Sesame Street teaches your children the alphabet and numbers. Since it has added Elmo's World into the mix, it opens up the imagination of learning. The show is fun and even you will enjoy watching it with them.
Dragon Tales came out in 1999. Dragon Tales focuses on stuff like music, sharing, caring, friendship, and respecting one another's opinions. The music is such fun, plus sometimes they will sing it in Spanish for you. This is good if you want your child to learn a different language. With Dragon Tales it is fun to learn and share.
Dora the Explore is among children's and parents' favorite television show. The first show aired in 1999. With Dora and Boots helping, the children will learn some Spanish, directions, problem solving, and memory. The puzzles require the child to say the locations that they are destination. It helps the child expand the mind. Sometimes during the show Dora will ask your child, "Say Backpack." Sometimes she will say, "Hola, which means hello in Spanish."
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is another great educational program. The children will get to solve puzzles and problems, learn colors and shapes, and learn music. With Mickey Mouse Clubhouse the child will get to get up and participate. It is a new show, compared to the other ones on the list. It's debut was in 2006. So if you want to get up and dance, this is show to go for. That is the favorite part of the show for the child that love to get involved. Another great thing about this program is that is teaches your child to get more involved.
Barney and friends is last on my list on educational shows that I would allow my child to watch. Barney helps the child use his or her imagination, share and care, being a friend, being understandable, and learning day to day problems. Barney came out in year 1992. It teaches the value on how you should treat others on day to day basics. Everyone could get something out of this show. Barney also sings a special goodbye song, "I love you, and you love me." This makes the child feel very special.
Those are the top 5 educational programs that I would allow my child to watch. Some other people may vary, but the programs I picked help your children's learning in some special way. Either it may be problem solving, being nice, sharing, and shapes and numbers. Plus, all of these shows are very enjoyable for parent and child. Education matters.

Post a Comment"We're a happy family," I always wanted to sing the "knick-knack, paddy-wack, give the dog a bone" line whenever Barney and Friends' theme song was playing. I've never watched Dora, but based on your brief review here, it sounds like a recommendable show.
Well written! Thanks for sharing your choices and reasons with us.
Nice first post Beth, I remember when I watched Barney as a toddler!
