Free Your Mind - Anarbor

A first rate CD. These guys would probably make the top 10 on the best artist of 2000's. They are definitely a rising star in the alternative genre. The release of their March 10, 2009 debut of Free Your Mind only showed a positive increase in the popularity Anarbor. This is absolutely a catchy, outstanding, unique album. The biggest hit of this album is 'Let the Games Begin', which really displays the bands excellent potential to create more great music.

A Beautiful Lie - 30 Seconds To Mars

Excellent melodic riffs set it apart from any band in the genre. Many consider 30 Seconds To Mars a mainstream alternative group, and since their release of A Beautiful Lie in 2005, they became even more infamous. This album is solid, if there is any album you would go pick up from this list, I recommend this one. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about their newest CD.

Hello Fascination - Breathe Carolina

On a more techno side of alternative rock, we have Breathe Carolina's album Hello Fascination. Great techno beats with that mixture of alternative make this new 2009 album a must have.

The Bridge - Letter Kills

Without a doubt will this fantastic 40-minute album make the list. The bass guitar play is excellent, as well as the vocals. The best hit in this album has to be 'Lights Out'. I find The Bridge to be a superb, very unyielding harder-core rock alternative album.

Minutes to Midnight -Linkin Park

How could you have a list without Linkin Park? You couldn't. That's why Minutes to Midnight made the list, one of the greatest unsurpassed albums of the decade, and arguably the best Linkin Park album of all time. With so many big hits in one album, and plenty of hits in their preceding albums, there is no reason why Linkin Park couldn't make it to the top artists of the decade as well.

Southern Weather - The Almost

Another rock-solid album, Southern Weather displays some excellent riffs from their song 'Southern Weather' to their biggest hit of the album, 'Say This Sooner'. Definitely not an album you want to miss, pick it up and give this 2007 album a listen.

Burn Season - Burn Season

An exceptional album, Burn season demonstrates amazing a more rock style, alternative. The thing that sets this album apart from the rest is the vocals, and the overall composition is simply excellent.

Liberation Transmission -Lost Prophets

This U.K. band's sophomore album Liberation Transmission released in 2006 really shows how superb their drums and guitar is. When it comes to having the most catchy guitar riffs, Lost Prophets doesn't disappoint.

Thursday - Common Existence

For post-hardcore fans, this alternative album is essential. Common Existence is another album that could not miss its spot on this list. Released this year, Common Existence is definitely an improvement from its preceding album in 2007.

Hallways - The Sophomore Attempt

This high quality album coming from probably the most unknown band on this list might surprise you. Almost every song in this short, seven-song album is a hit in my book. 'Get me an Exit' is a must hear from this CD. Check this album out; you might understand why these guys made this list.
