The Best of the Best: Energy Drinks - Canadian Version

Well, I felt that I should take matters into my own hands with coming up with a best of the best list for energy drinks, but geared slightly more towards these drinks that are available in canada. I have to say, we have some pretty good energy drinks way up here believe it or not!

Well, after considering all of the drinks I have available to talk about, I've decided to do a countdown style of article. We'll count down the top five best energy drinks available in Canada. The positioning will be based on the flavour of the drink rather than the energy levels they put out. So, to start off the countdown, is number five...

5. Rockstar Mocha

The genius' at rockstar have done quite a great job on this drink. They have successfully managed to make an energy drink taste like an ice cool mocha. I must say it tastes great, despite the mocha being cold. I suppose if you preferred it to be warm, you could through it in the microwave, but that probably woulodn't go over to well. Due to the somewhat stasle after taste it gives off, this drink has ranked number five on our list.

4. Amped

Being exclusive to Seven Eleven stores across Canada, you can't buy this drink anywhere unless you happen to be at a 7/11. For being so exclusive, it tastes pretty good, and how can you go wrong with the frequent deal of 2 for $4? That in itself puts this drink on the list. However, it still has a great taste which puts the book at nubmer four.

3. Pink Energy

The drink made for those of who want a diet energy drink. It's pretty nifty how the creators managed to use no sugar in teh mixture of this drink. But yet, even thoguh it's lacking sugar, it still gives you the pep you need, along with that great taste of sparkling grapefruit. Due to the pure taste of this drink it made it onto this list, with no other energy drink coming in this flavour, which I love.

2. Bawls

First off, let me get one thing straight. This drink does not taste like what the name implies. Despite the name of this energy drink, it is my second favourite energy drink, due to yet again, the great flavours it comes in. It has three different flavours, all of which taste exceptionally well. Kudo's to this great drink!

1. Beaver Buzz

Yes, this is the best drink out there when it comes to energy drinks. It may come in a small can, but it's "Dam Good" as it says on the bottle. The best part about this drink, is it comes from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It is home brewed by only the best. Fresh saskatoon berries are used in this great drink, which is what makes it taste so great. And of course, it has a patriotic name, with the Beaver being the countries national animal. nothing beats a nice cold Beaver Buzz on a sunny afternoon.

Well, there you have it, the best of the best when it comes to energy drinks sold within Canada in the year of two thousand and eight. It sure doesn't get any better than this!
