There are a couple different reasons one would have the need to go to a bike shop. Perhaps you need to save on gas and car fees and work isn't too far and you've decided to go green and bike it. Maybe you decided biking will be your new exercise for great heart health. Then there's always those that bike just for the fun, after all there are some beautiful bike trails in Delaware County, Pa. Before even picking a bike shop let alone entering one, decide which your reason is. This will help the staff help you a great deal. There will be different bikes for different needs, and then there's accessories.

I actually did a review of this bike shop last May, but it deserves to be included in this list, so I will recap. The original review can be found at A Review of Drexel Hill Cyclery in Drexel Hill, PA. You are more than welcome to check out that review as well since it is a little more in depth. Drexel Hill Cyclery has been around for decades. It is a shop where many people from Delaware County can say they got their first bike and others as they grew. The address, phone, hours and website are as follows:

Drexel Hill, PA 19026
Phone: (610) 626-4477

Trophy Bikes knows the importance of upkeep of your bike. Just like your car gets inspected once a year, they feel bikes should be as well. They have employees who are well educated in taking care of your bike. Besides having an inspection of your bike every year, they offer what they call the Brommie clinic. At the Brommie clinic they teach you how to repair minor problems with your Brompton bike. I am getting a little ahead of myself though. Even before you think of maintenance, you need the proper bike. At this shop they will be sure you have the proper bike because before they sell you your bike, they will do a "bike fitting". A bike needs to fit your size as well as your needs. The staff is great and the hours are convenient. The website is full of information and tips, I recommend viewing it before you go to the store itself. The address, phone, hours and website are as follows:

The Best Bike Shops in Delaware County, Pa-Cycle Fit-Wallingford, Pa

I have to say that this is a great bike shop. Located in Wallingford, it is on the other end of Delaware County for me but worth the trip. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend viewing their website first to get a feel for what you want and to see all the extras they offer on there. They have everything on their website from what they have in the store to tips to forums. Oh yeah, and the greatest extra of all, that little surprise I spoke about in the beginning of this article. If you are local to Wallingford and are in need of employment-a job! On the front page of their website in bold lettering is: Store employment available: full and part time. Call 610-876-9450. At a time when the classifieds are less than a quarter page in our local newspaper, The Delaware County Times, this is a nice surprise. The address, phone, hours and website are as follows:

320 South Chester Road
Wallingford, PA 19086
(610) 876-9450
Monday-Friday 10:00 AM-8:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, Sunday 12:00 PM-4:00 PM
