Top 3 Burger Joints

StillWideAwake
Growing up in the Capital District of New York was an experience like no other. This section of New York state, which includes Albany, Schenectady, and Troy, is known as home to such spots as the Proctors Theater, the State Capital buildings, the Saratoga Raceway, the New York State Museum, and Howes Caverns. The scenic view of the area is ever-changing as the seasons shift to full expressions of spring, summer, and fall throughout the year. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the classic small-city feel, along with the wide range of opportunities to experience the rich culture and history of upstate New York.

My hometown area is birthplace to many of my guilty pleasures. One of them is my love for burgers. There are few things more satisfying than enjoying some of the best burgers joints in the Capital District. Three of my all-time favorites are:

1. Fuddruckers, 72 Wolf Road, Colonie

Website: www.fuddruckers.com
Phone: (518) 459-2566

According to the Fuddruckers website, they make their buns from scratch every morning, which coupled with their thick patties, accounts for the freshness and tastiness contained in every bite. My favorite thing about Fuddruckers is the policy that lets customers essentially create their own burgers from a buffet-style selection of all of the toppings and more. It is a burger experience to die for!

2.Red Robin, 880 Loudon Road, Latham

Website: www.redrobin.com
Phone: (518) 782-5121

On its website, Red Robin refers to its burgers as "gourmet" for a reason. With choices ranging from the "Banzai Burger" to the "Burnin' Love" burger, this chain puts out some of the creatively named, and tastiest burgers in town. My personal favorite is the "Bleu Ribbon Burger", which is topped with bleu cheese and a special sauce. This burger is well worth it.

3. Jack's Drive-In, 24 Main Ave, Wynantskill

Web Info: maps.google.com/maps
Phone: (518) 283-5110

One of the benefits of living in the Capital District is access to classic 1950's style eating, Located just outside of Rensselaer, Jack's Drive-In is a place where won't find anything fancy, but you will find plenty of good old fashioned burgers, fries, shakes, onion rings, sodas, etc. A great summer outdoor eating experience, I enjoyed the timely service and old-time feel of a classic burger joint.

I personally guarantee that visiting any of these favorite burger joints will be well worth your time, satisfying even the biggest appetite! Happy trails!
