The first one on our list is really close to where we live, but we love it because it has a low price too. The Hamburger Wagon of Miamisburg, Ohio has a wonderful atmosphere; it's outside! We love the outdoors, and we love the smells of the Hamburger Wagon. Whether we are driving by it or we are taking a stroll through Downtown Miamisburg, this burger joint is a local favorite. We can grab a small burger and do some window shopping. This makes a great Saturday afternoon choice. The menu is simply. You can get a single or a double burger, grab a bag of chips and a soda. While I love a good sit down meal, this one works well in spring and summer so you can keep moving. The burgers start at $1.10 and up.
The second favorite on our list is Slyder's Tavern on Watervliet Avenue in Dayton, Ohio. For the locals, everyone can tell you that this one is located in a small town called Belmont. Slyder's has everything on the menu from appetizers, to soups, chilis and salads and last but not least the burger. The burgers here are nothing short of awesome! They use nothing but lean ground chuck, and serve them up on Kaiser Rolls which I love. I usually get cheese and anything they can find to put on it. You can pick from Swiss, American and Cheddar cheese, and add some bacon if you like. One of my personal favorites this joint offers is the Patty Melt, served up on grilled Rye bread. When you stop in you can probably spend anywhere from $10 and up. They are open on Monday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Last but not least, we love Smashburger. What we love about Smashburger is that they have a wide array of burgers to pick from. Sometimes we like more than lettuce, pickle and onion on our burgers. This joint offers a BBQ Bacon and Cheese burger which I love. I am a sauce person, so anything with A1 or Barbecue Sauce I just love. Their menu also offers several add ons, such as chili and onions, or you can even add another half pound to your burger! This burger joint is not for the faint of heart, and is conveniently located right off of I-75 across the road from the Dayton Mall in the Shoppes Plaza and they are open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.
