The first company is called Adirondack Coast. They were the first bus company that my cousin rode with. As he puts it, their employees are friendly, informative, and very helpful. They take pride in their quality tours. They receive a lot of publicity. They have been in such magazines as Travel Holiday and various other airline and travel magazines. The bus tour has many sights along the way. The first major sight is Plattsburgh. After that, the bus will move on to Saranac and then Dannemora. You will get a good view of the Saranac river but my cousin says that the best sight was Lake Champlain. Lake Champlain is famous for the local legend of a water monster that lives in the depths of the lake. Many people claim to have seen it. Some have even claimed to have photographed it. The legend gave the lake a reputation for being America's "Loch Ness". And like "Nessie" before it, the so called monster has been named "Champ". Unfortunately, my cousin did not witness any lake monsters, but perhaps you will if you take the Adirondack Coast bus tour.
The other tourism company which my cousin claimed was really good is Hamilton County Tourism. My cousin says that Hamilton County has his preferred bus tour. The employees, once again, are friendly and informative, but the best part about the tour is the tour itself. The bus will go by Blue Mountain Lake and stop at the Adirondack museum. From there the bus will move on to Long Lake, Speculator, and Raquette Lake. The tour will then finish with visits to Indian Lake and Lake Pleasant. My cousin commented that the view of Lake Pleasant is, well, pleasant. Hamilton County Tourism provides one of the best scenic tours of Adirondack Park. My cousin said it's because of all the lakes. The view of the Lakes is the best. But don't limit your options. Other companies, such as Warren County Tourism, might work better for you. Enjoy your trip.
