Both Disney and SeaWorld have water park accommodations that truly allow for thrill and variety into the everyday, whether you live in Central Florida, or are experiencing Florida for vacation.
SeaWorld's water park is called Aquatica. I have to admit, this one is by far my favorite and the favorite of my children who are 8 and 10. My first experience there was with them when they were a few years younger and I liked that they made my younger son wear a life-vest on rides to ensure his safety. This was a rule they had administered it was valuable to me at the time because he attended rides without me right next to him. It provided for the safety measure and made me extremely comfortable. The park is designed for kids of all ages, with family raft rides, lazy river with floats, and another rapids where you go with the flow of water. There are smaller children's rides for toddlers and up, and a large play area where kids and adults can go exploring, with steps, nets, and slides. There is also a large wave pool and other swimming areas.
Disney's Blizzard Beach, seems smaller than Aquatica, but has a larger lazy river, which I would say is central to this particular water park. There are family raft rides and other attractions for ride enthusiasts, as well as water play area and slides.
Along with Disney's Blizzard's Beach is Typhoon Lagoon, which has a lot of the same style of attractions as Blizzard Beach, but in a different theme. Both parks have fun slides and water play areas. Because Disney's parks are oriented more for the family, there aren't as many thrill seeking rides. In Florida though, water is key to staying cool '" and sunblock a necessity to not turning into a lobster.
Wet n Wild is the water park for wild ride enthusiasts, since they have the most thrill seeking slides and rides. While this is my least favorite park, there are many rides for the thrill seekers that won't get old after repetition. The lines move steadily when it is busy, and there are still the other features of the other water parks, like the wave pools and lazy river. In essence, there is something for the entire family here.
All of these parks have specials for packages, single-day admissions and discounts for Florida residents, which is a bonus. The value is in the park where you will spend the most time with the featured rides and have fun exploring.
