The Best Chinese Food in Milwaukee
Milwaukee's Best Choice for Authentic Chinese to American Styled Chinese Restaurants
Two Fortune Restaurant 5512 S 108 St. Here you can find authentic Chinese food. They have both English and Chinese menus with dishes other than the traditional chop suey. The sea food selections are fantastic. There is a second location which is not quite as good at 2945 S. 108 St.
Yen Ching 7630 W. Good Hope Rd. They have been serving the traditional American style of Chinese food for years. However, they do not have egg foo young. The dinning room is always packed with happy diners. Service is quick and friendly and the food is always top quality.
Emperor of China 1010 E Brady St. Serves up one of the best lunches in the city. They just may have the nicest dinning room of all the Chinese restaurants in the city. They also have a few unusual dinner selections. The food here is always fresh and very well prepared.
A Touch of Hunan 6267 N 76th St. Yes, this is a buffet but that is not why I have included it on the list. However, this just may be the first Chinese buffet in the city. First of all there is nothing Hunan about this place. The owners are from Guangzhou, China and they cook up some great meals from Southern China, which are on the menu. Ignore the buffet and ask for them to make something special for you but if a Chinese buffet is your thing this is the best in the city. The service is friendly, the only thing they need to do is change their name.
Phan's Gardens 1932 W National is a Chinese/ Vietnamese restaurant. If you are looking for the place where English is the second language here it is. Most of the diners are Asian. The soups are the best here along with some intriguing Vietnamese dishes. The service leaves something to be desired.
Harvey Moy's N89 W 16754 Appleton Rd. Menomonee Falls. No list of Chinese restaurants in the Milwaukee area would be complete without Harvey Moy's. The Moy family has been serving excellent American style Chinese food in the Milwaukee area for so long that people will say they are going to Harvey Moy's which means they are going for Chinese food. This is the original and standard bearer of the Moy family restaurants. The dinning room is small but very friendly. Harvey himself will greet you. The food is always freshly made and good tasting.
Wong's Kitchen 9201 W Capital Dr. This is a carry out restaurant. They do have a couple booths but most people take the food out. You most likely will have to wait in line. The food here is that good. This is another family from Guangzhou, China and they have brought with them fabulous family recipes. The menu is lengthy and has many different and tasty dishes on it. Lunch and dinner specials are available every day.

Post a CommentThis is a great list. Phans is our favorite. Mekong Cafe is also really good at 60th and North ave. Really authentic.
When you title an article, "The Best" of something you are bound to get disagreement. However, I stand by these choices after eating at numerous Chinese restaurants throughout Milwaukee.
