Fantasy Lights

At Spanaway Park, Fantasy Lights is one of the best Christmas Light Displays in the Tacoma area. Fantasy Lights is an enchanting two-mile drive along Spanaway Lake that features nearly 300 elaborate and animated Christmas displays. You will see bears flying kites, snowboys kicking fieldgoals, penguins sliding down an igloo, Santa sailing a ship and so much more. This beautiful winter wonderland with thousands of sparkling Christmas lights is a fantastic Christmas event for the entire family.

To further enhance the Christmas spirit of your drive through Fantasy Lights, tune your car radio to FM 93.7. They will be playing Holiday music performed by a local high school to accompany the grand Christmas light displays throughout the park.

Fantasy Lights is open from Nov. 25, 2010 - Jan. 2, 2011. The park hours are 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Admission is charged per vehicle at the gate and the cost is $13 per vehicle.

Zoolights

Another one of the best Christmas light displays in Tacoma is Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. During the holiday season the zoo is decorated with more than a half million lights. Enjoy the breathtaking displays, Christmas music and a hot cup of cocoa as you stroll through zoolights. Make sure you bundle up, as it can take a few hours to visit all that Zoolights has to offer, not to mention it can get quite chilly this time of year! Children love visiting the zoo and combined with a Christmas theme, it will be a magical experience they are sure to remember. "Zoolights" although fun for children is equally enchanting for adults, making it a perfect Christmas light display that the whole family will truly enjoy.

Zoolights open on Nov. 26, 2010 - Jan. 2, 2011. The hours of operation are 5-9 p.m. Admission to Zoolights is $7.50 per person and children 2 and under are free.
