Pikes Perk Colorado Springs
This local Colorado Springs business has five franchisee owned coffee shops. Since each coffee shop has a personality unique to the Colorado Springs neighborhood it operates in, customer service and coffee quality can vary. My experience with the N. Academy store has been a disappointment. They have been understaffed, and the brewed coffee has not been fresh.
This Colorado Springs coffee shop offers organic coffee and certified organic coffee beverages in addition to the usual cup of joe. They have a wide selection of coffee beans, prepackaged and available for purchase. Customers can purchase coffee beans via internet or in the coffee shops.
Serranos Coffee House Colorado Springs
7335 N. Academy Blvd.
Serranos, is similar in decor and atmosphere to Starbucks. Prices for a cup of coffee will range from $2.00 to $4.00. If you like to brew your own cup of coffee, Kassie will be happy to put together a package of coffee beans for you.
Serranos, sells three types of organic coffee beans: Mexican, Peru and Sumatra. If you like decaffeinated coffee, there are nine different blends to choose from.
Agia Sophia
This old world coffee house resides in Old Colorado City outside of Colorado Springs. The atmosphere is warm and intimate. After the Barista serves your coffee, find a nook and make yourself comfortable. Place your order at the east counter, turn 180 degrees, there is a sunlit nook with two chairs. The natural light is enough to write or read by and the window sill is a perfect place to set your coffee cup on a coaster.
The Agia Sophia coffee house has multiple rooms available for small groups that need a meeting space. These intimate rooms are available for bible studies, book reading groups and other activities.
If you are looking for books about philosophy or religion, try the upstairs bookstore.
Agia Sophia's prices for a cup of coffee range from $2.40 to $4.00. Non coffee drinks are in the same price range.
Food items are available such as soup and salad or a Panini sandwich. Dessert items are also on the menu.
There are many coffee houses to choose from in Colorado Springs. This small sample will start you on the way to finding your favorite coffee house.
