They are deep fried rice flour balls, filled with sweet lotus bean paste and then covered with sesame seeds. They please all areas of the palate by being crunchy, chewy, sweet and savory all at the same time. Another must try are the chicken curry pastries. Most people think curry is going to be spicy but these are not. The outside is a light flaky crust. The inside is chicken, curry and other spices and some veggies. Your first bite will leave you looking for more.

Great Wall located at 3446 W. Camelback Rd is as far west as dim sum gets in the valley. It is very popular among the Asian community with good reason. This is the most authentic dim sum. Don't let that scare you off. The staff here is extremely friendly. On our most recent trip my son asked for egg rolls as we were being seated. The hostess went out of her way to find the cart with egg rolls and brought them back to our table. Be sure to try the white, rice flour noodles that contain either shrimp, beef or pork called cheung fun. These soft noodles melt in your mouth without being sticky.
