Summer is almost here and it's time to get ready for outings to the beach and picnics in the park. While, cute tees and denim jeans are always acceptable, nothing shows femininity more than a pretty little dress. Anthropologie has recently released their summer clothing line and the dresses are to die for. So here is a peak at some of the best dresses from Anthropologie's 2008 Summer Collection.

The Scenic Route Dress is a brown jersey dress. The dress is tiered and the top of the dress has pieces of material knotted and tied together, which give the dress a crocheted look. Price: $118.00

The Searchlight Flora Dress is a white day dress with a yellow and grey flower design on it. The empire waist gives this dress an extra girly touch and the spaghetti straps of the dress have a little knot on either side. Price: $148.00

The Crushed Satin Dress looks so elegant with its u-shaped neckline and pleated bodice. This dress also has an empire waist and comes in a color called "bloom" which is a coral-red kind of color. Price: $308.00

The Chuparosa Dress has a multi-colored flower design all over it. The heart-shaped neck, pleated fabric, and waist belt come together quite nicely to make this dress very unique. Price: $288.00

The Isla Ibiza Dress is my favorite dress of the collection. It has a bit of a Mayan feel to it. The round neckline is adorned with all kinds of brown, blue, cream, khaki, and pink beads to form little designs. The rest of the dress has an abstract pattern that resembles petals. Price: $248.00

The Charcoal Drawing Dress would be a good dress for an evening out. This strapless number is black with white floral designs on the bottom and an emerald green sash around the waist. Price: $148.00

The Menswear Halter looks so clean and fresh with its pale blue color and white trim. The dress has a heart-shaped neckline and a simple geometric pattern. The empire waist and the simple cut make this dress an effortless choice. Price: $128.00

The Sandhill Halter Dress is a bright orange color with brown halter straps, brown trim, and a brown sash at the waist. The dress has a beautiful crane pattern that gives it a calm, relaxed feel. Price: $168.00

The Calimesa Dress is strapless and white with a fabric crossover on the bodice. The rest of the dress falls delicately while a bow in the back cinches the dress at the waist. Price: $128.00

Wow, these sound great but the prices are way outside my budget. Maybe I will be able to get one next summer from a resale shop! Very nicely written review.
