Not all exercises are suitable for everyone. No two individuals are same. So what is suitable for one is not suitable for another. Fat people find it extremely difficult to run and think that without sweating fat cannot be burnt. As a matter of fact low intensity cardiovascular exercises like jogging, walking etc can do wonders for many. These exercises burn more calories than heavy intensity exercises. If you do resistance training along with cardiovascular exercises, no barrier can stop you from becoming fit and healthy.

The best thing with exercises is that you can start very slowly and increase the intensity gradually. No matter what your body condition is, you can perform these exercises with out any problem. Also these hit the major muscles of the body and hence help in burning up of fat. On the other hand high intensity workouts make your muscles hungry for sugar and hence fat is not burned efficiently as in low intensity cardio workouts.

Out door sports like tennis, basket ball, foot ball etc are very intense and cause energy loss. The energy is provided back to the body in the form of sugar. So these are not suitable for burning fat.

The main purpose of the exercise should be to use the fat stored in the body rather than energy from food source. Low intensity aerobic exercises burn stored fat using oxygen. But with these exercises one should also go for resistance training because muscles indirectly burn fat. Muscles require maintenance while fat does not. Good amount of lean body mass can help you to be in top shape and also healthy.

Walking is the best exercise and you don't require any equipment. When ever you get free time you can walk a little. Cycling, treadmill workouts etc are very good low cardio exercises. But the intensity should be varied frequently to get best results. These exercises boost up metabolism and you burn fat even hours after you stopped workout.

Twenty minutes of cardio vascular workout per day for three days a week is more than sufficient for any body. You can start from low intensity and move to higher intensity levels. Once your fitness improves you can increase the level and time.

Proper diet, good training regimen, dedication, discipline and rest are the things which can transform your body. Resting the body is very important since body grows during sleep. If you are on the heavier side do not panic. Start physical activities like walking, jogging, cycling etc and restrict unwanted food items. Stay away from sugar and fats. Have a schedule and stick to it. Drink a lot of water since water helps in burning fat. The most important thing is to workout regularly..
