Post a CommentOnly a half hearted review I am afraid.
The VIA units do have a lot of software and user problems.
Dont belive me then try a simple voice change that works fine on older units.
The voices are LOCKED to the country of purchase and there is no way currently to change that !
If you bought a new one on business in another country you will be restricted to the language of the country you purchased it in !
Try getting MAPSHARE to work in a VAI series even though it is advertised on the box and on the TT website.
Ok try GPS QUICKFIX. but wait that wont work either...
Ok then try a simple device backup like you can on older TT devices.... Dang fail again
The TT forums are littered with bugs and issues for almost all of the newer devices which promise so much but deliver so little.
Even tomtom's customer support often admit that the newer devices were "rushed to market before completion"
If I rated on potential for a device it would get 5 / 5
If I rate honestly I am afraid the newer tomtom devices only ever reach 2 / 5
