Another benefit that Firefox brings to the table is the vast number of add-on options that it offers to users. Users have the option of choosing add-ons, customizing their browser to fit their needs. Firefox is so versatile that it has become quite popular with a diverse group of internet users; casual surfers, professionals, and hackers alike.
The add-ons provided by Firefox are convenient for Firefox users. The add-ons bring frequently used applications to the users' browser, thus saving the user time and providing them with ultra easy access to their specific computer needs. Some of the add-ons make the life of a hacker a bit simpler as well. The list below briefly describes the capabilities of each add-on.
Check4Change is an add-on that Firefox developed for easy detection of changes in webpage content. The Check4Change feature monitors websites and alerts the user of any changes made within certain frames ranging from 1 to 15 minutes.
The Quick Locale Switcher allows Firefox users to switch between languages with ease. This feature is ideal for those who use several languages throughout the duration of their web use. With the Quick Locale Switcher, a user can go back and forth from one language to another.
Show Location is an add-on available to Firefox users; this feature allows users to see the location of the webpage originator in the status bar. Users even have the option of right clicking on the information provided to view a Google map of the area.
ArchView allows users to view archived materials without actually having to download the entire archived file. Firefox users have this added protection from viruses than can be contracted in similar downloads. These archive files can be viewed as ZIP, RAR and ISO formats.
Hyperwords is an exciting tool that allows users to single out words that they do not know the meaning of; whether it be an unfamiliar language or a word that requires the use of a dictionary. Firefox users who choose this add-on can simply highlight a word or several lines of text to see translations and definitions of desired content.
