The Best Fishing Lure Out There?

I wanted to build the best fish lure in the world. I started with the proven spoon design. I used the best materials available, brass. Steel is cheaper, but brass casts like a missile. I gave it a Jewelry quality finish for a fantastic fish attracting flash! I build it in USA because I believe in America. And the action? A secret mermaid dance that fish can't resist!

2) What is the biggest fish you ever caught with one of your Venus Royale lures?

I caught trout and bass in Crystal Lake in Ellington. I never measure or weight them but they were about a foot long. I have also caught bass in Connecticut River and smaller trout from the Farmington River.

3) Besides being an entrepreneur? What other careers have you tried in your life?

I served four years in the United States Air force and ten years in the Connecticut Air National Guard. Google I.Y.A.A.Y.A.S. to see what I did in the military. I have worked in the auto parts industry. I once had a D.J. business. I have tried my hand at stand up comedy and I am a photographer.

4) Do people still refer to your attempt to become mayor of Hartford? Will you run again for political office any time soon?

I have run for public office 5 times. I also served as chairman of the Libertarian Party of Connecticut for five years. I did not run for public office wile I was serving as chair. Some people do remember my run for mayor. Now that I am no longer chair of the party I expect to run more.

5) Has it been challenging selling your fishing lures? What are the various ways you have tried?

People do buy and like my lures. I have repeat costumers. I have a hard time convincing stores to carry it. That is to be expected as my brand isn't famous. Steve Jobs went to IBM to show them his PC and they laughed at him. He then founded Apple. I sell them on the web but it sells better if people see them.
