Believe it or not, the shape of a women's body can actually tell you something about the way it handles food and stores fat. Women fall in to one of two basic categories when talking about body shape: pear-shaped or apple-shaped. A pear-shaped woman is going to store fat differently than an apple-shaped women. Pear-shaped women store fat mostly around their hips and thighs, whereas apple-shaped women store it more in their midsection.
If you're a woman with a pear-shaped body, it means your body is actually pretty good at handling carbs and proteins. What I mean is, you digest those foods easily and make good use of them. What you are not good at handling is fats. Your body doesn't really know how to use fats well, so it just quickly stores them in those aforementioned problem areas.
Proteins
OK, so your body knows how to make good use of proteins, which means you can pretty much go to town on anything that's considered one. This includes nuts, seeds, beans, eggs, meat, seafood and dairy. However, as always, you should stick to the lean proteins. Don't think you can take this information and use it to justify eating nothing but bacon and hamburgers.
Carbohydrates
Next, we have carbs. Again, you can eat carbs with little concern, but you want to stick to complex carbs. Brown rice, whole wheat, whole oats and barley are all good examples. You can't eat other refined carbs in moderation, but there's really no good reason to. For simple carbs, you should stick to fruits, such as bananas and apples. Although fruits are considered "simple" carbs because they're mostly fructose, your body handles them like a complex carb.
What Not Eat
Basically, you just want to stay away from anything that is high in fat. Remember that caveat I mentioned when I was talking about proteins? Yeah, you probably want to skip the bacon. I'd also advise against dairy products like whole milk, butter and cream; although, I advise not eating dairy at all for other reasons not really related to this topic. Other than the occasional helping of nuts, seeds, avocados and olives - which all have healthy fats - you should just avoid fats.
