Chattahoochee Nature Center- This is a place were old and young alike come to learn about our local ecology. This is the place were we learn hands on about what it takes to preserve this area and how important that goal is to us as a community. It provides a life long learning opportunity for the community that not every community has available. It is special to Roswell and it's people.
Roswell Parks and Recreation Centers- Roswell has a total of five nice recreational parks with pools, gyms, baseball fields, football fields, soccer fields, tennis courts and walking trails. As a family everyone will enjoy the free and low cost activities available. There are arts centers and indoor racquetball courts. Places to enjoy table tennis, yoga or aerobic exercises. Romes for senior citizens to enjoy cards and weekly lunches. Roswell is very big on free activities that promote health and wellness for our citizens.
Archibald Smith Plantation Home- An original plantation home that has been well cared for so we can see and experience our humble beginnings as a community. Archibald Smith was a early cotton plantation owner who settled in this area and was instrumental in organizing commerce in the early 1840's. A very interesting and historical house complete with original furnishings and personal effects.
Teaching Museum North Fulton Schools- A place were you can visit and learn about Science, History, Government, and the Arts. If you like to explore space, listen to an Opera, learn about our early history of Roswell or the Science of weather you are in the right place at the Teaching Museum.
The Roswell Fire and Rescue Museum- This is a great museum to enjoy the history of our fire department. You can see antique fire engines as well as early suits, hats and equipment. Right next door to a working fire station means you get to see and talk with live firemen right on the premises. Young boys especially like the Fire and Rescue Museum and the excitement it represents in our community.
Roswell's Historic Town Center- Is a park that is complete with a gazebo style stage. It is home to every kind of fair you can dream up. Art, crafts, food all outdoors for the enjoyment of the whole town. It's a place that is completely lit up at Christmas with white lights in all the trees, bushes and gazebo stand. Weddings seem to end up here and every photographer in town both professional and amateur has snapped their share of pictures here for the last 150 years.
