The Best Horror Movies Ever

10 All Time Best Horror Movies

Kephri Ra
I just love a good horror movie so I have had fun going back over all the movies that I have watch in the last 20 years or so during which I have been a fan. There have been quite a few, and although many of them were either mediocre or just plain rubbish there have also been a large number of good ones, so it wasn't easy to whittle my little list here down to just ten titles and no more. What that means is that there are a whole bunch of great titles which could quite easily have made it onto the list which I had to leave out, which is a shame but couldn't be avoided. So please don't get angry and start shouting at your computer monitor if I've missed out one of your favourites! Having said that, I hope you enjoy reading my selection of the best ever. I should also say that these ten are not listed in any particular order.
  1. Donny Darko - Surreal strangeness and high-wierd at their very best. Any movie which has a man dressed up in a furry bunny costume as the bad guy, and still manages to be dark and twisted rather than camp and amusing has to be doing something pretty amazing. A true cult classic this one.
  2. The Blair Witch Project - This one had a massive impact on the genre, adding a new kind of realism as it presented itself as geniune camcorder footage from a bunch of students in an isolated forest. Not long after watching this I had to walk home down a dark path through a small woods, and I don't mind telling you that I came within millimeters of moistening my underwear.
  3. The Exorcist - Pretty much the only movie from as far back as the 1970's which I can still watch and enjoy. Very controversial at he time, it follows a young girl who is possessed, and the priest trying to save her life and her soul.
  4. Shaun of the Dead - The funniest horror movie ever made, this zombie flick takes itself about as seriously as a high priest of unserious.
  5. The Silence of the Lambs - The original and still the best cannibal - Hanibal Lecter does his thing. Great acting really makes it work brilliantly
  6. Scream - Manages to balance perfectly on the fine line between being a spoof and a serious scary movie. A modern classic.
  7. 28 Days Later - Without a doubt the best modern reworking oft he zombie theme
  8. Brain Dead - Pure low budget gorefest Brain Dead is funny and disgusting in equal measure.
  9. Final Destination - Again I liked the first ojne the best, simply because of the way it made you jump out of your seat.
  10. Nightmare on Elm Street - I grew up with Freddy Krueger the back from the dead child killer scraping his metal claws along walls and railings. OK, so I was only 10 at the time, but nothing has ever scared me the way that Freddy Krueger scared me.

your list is honestly atrocious.....It shows your limited knowledge of movies in general. Ridiculous, offensive, laughable and pitiful....you have the utmost audacity to present a list like this.
