The Best Italian Restaurants in Atlanta, Georgia

Nothing Makes Us Smile like an Italian Meal

Kirby Rooks
When I think of Italian food of course I think of spaghetti, ravioli and lasagna. Warm Italian and garlic bread with Parmesan cheese on the top. But I also love to go to a great Italian restaurant and experiment with true Italian food not some Americanized version. Below are restaurants to visit to get the authentic food of old Italy.

Maggiano's Little Italy

3368 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30326 (404)-816-9650

Maggiano's Little Italy

Located in the heart of trendy upscale Buckhead. Maggiano's is truly a visit to old Italy to re-kindle your Italian gourmet experience. It is truly one of Atlanta's best Italian restaurants.

I love to get their Bruschetta and the Lobster Ravioli is suburb. A light and exquisite dish is the Chicken Pesto Linguine. With a hint of lemon in the sauce it is delightful. But if you are looking for traditional spaghetti and meatballs or meat ravioli you are in the right place.

Reservations are online or by telephone. Enjoy the meal by ordering it take-out and eating in the comfort of your home is truly wonderful. But if not, parking is plentiful and the service is remarkable.

Veni Vidi Vici

41 Fourteenth Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30309 (404)-875-8424

Veni Vidi Vici

Veni Vedi Vici is truly a remarkable dining experience. This is Atlanta's number one Italian Restaurant as it has an exquisite menu. Located in Mid-Town near the cultural center of Atlanta it is a favorite of concert, theatre and museumgoers of all kinds.

Start with Polpette (Braised Veal Meatballs) or Affettati E Formaggi (Sliced Meat and Cheeses). Then try the Vittello Alla Parmesania (Pounded Veal Chops with a tomato sauce and Mozzarella melted on top).

This will definitely tickle your taste buds and help you to sleep well when you arrive home. Very much upscale casual with a home comfort food feel.

Baraonda Caffe Italiano

710 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30308 (404)-879-9962

Baraonda Caffe Italiano

If pizza is your idea of Italiano then you will fall in love with Baraonda's. Weather it is a tomato, basil and mozzarella pizza or something more like duck breast, pink sauce, sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella pizza you will get a perfect wood-fired brick pizza.

Opened in 2000 Baraonda's is the top-shelve for pizza in Atlanta.

No matter what your taste in Atlanta for Italian meals you should try these three restaurants before you go to the promise land so there can be some comparison.
