The Best Lemon Square Recipe Ever

Quick, Easy and Only 7 Ingredients Needed

Amy Gibbons
I have had this recipe for ten years. It has never failed to be a hit. We laugh because my son tells people that they aren't any good and that he would be willing to eat their share. I can think of no better recommendation for a recipe. It can be made with no ill effect, using reduced calorie ingredients. The original recipe called for tubes of crescent rolls, but the new Crescent Seamless Dough Sheets make this recipe super easy to prepare. Enjoy.

Ingredients:

2 tubes of Crescent Seamless Dough Sheets
2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 stick of butter or margarine, melted
Cinnamon Sugar

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Put cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice and vanilla into mixer and mix until smooth and spreadable. At same time spread one tube of dough sheets in the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 pan(see picture). Spread cream cheese mixture over dough sheet(see picture). Put second dough sheet on top of the mixture(see picture). Then pour melted butter on to top of pan and roll around until it completely covers the top. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake for 30 minutes. Cool and cut. Store covered in the refrigerator if you have any left over.

If you want you can throw flour on your face like the lady in the rice krispee treat commercial.

My son tells people that these cookies aren't good and that he will eat their share. There can't be a better recommendation than that.
