A famous patriot Benjamin Franklin once said that beer was proof that God does exist. That God gave man beer so that we could be happy. Regardless of whether he was drinking or not when he made the statement, there is a certain truth to it. Beer as we know it, is a wonderful elixir.

Light beer is a beer which has a lower content of alcohol. Since more people are become health conscious, there has being a gradual shift from drinking regular beer to light beer. No matter your taste for beer, they are different kinds of light beer available on the market. Here are some of the best light beers of all time.

Edison Light Beer
The first beer we will look into is the Edison Light. This light beer is brewed by the New Century Brewing Company located in Massachusetts. This company is one of the top brewing companies in Massachusetts and it has been around for almost 10 years. The Edison Light Beer comes in a 12oz bottle and retails for 89 cents on average. its Alcohol by volume (ABV) is 4%. Compared to other light beer, the Edison Light is pale in color, easy to digest. This light beer is quite sweet with a little bitterness. I would not mind drinking this all night in a bar.

Sam Adams Light
Sam Adams Light is one of the most popular light beers around. This light beer also brewed by the Boston Beer Company which is located in Massachusetts. This beer company has been around for a very long time. This light beer is quite decent and actually taste like the original beer. It actually taste nothing like a light beer and some people claim that it taste better than the original beer. This beer is not carbonated like most light beer and has an Alcohol by volume (ABV) of 4%.

Yuengling Light Lager
Despite its name, this beer is actually owned by an American company. It is owned by the Yuengling Brewery which is located in Pennsylvania. Yuengling Light Lager comes with an Alcohol by volume (ABV) of 3.5%. The beer is light golden with a finger of light foam that disappears quickly. The beer is quite light and taste like orange. I actually prefer drinking Yuengling Light Lager with a pizza. It does not fill you up compared to most other light beers.

Milwaukee's Best Light
The Milwaukee Best Light is owned by the Miller Brewing Company located in Wisconsin. In 2008 the Miller Brewing Company merged with Coor Brewing Company to become MillerCoors. The beer is light yellow in color. It has an Alcohol by volume (ABV) of 4.30% and actually taste better chilled. I prefer to drink the Milwaukee's Best Light during the summer.
