It seems everybody that is trying to start a diet has a sweet tooth. Nothing can satisfy a sweet tooth like candy. Unfortunately, the most popular candy bars (Snickers, Milky Way, Kit Kat, etc.) contain chocolate. Chocolate, of course, is very high in fat and doesn't seem to work for any dieters.

One way to help your diet, but still satisfy your sweet tooth is to eat sugary and tangy candy in place of chocolate candy bars. Although sugary candy is still not the best thing for you, they contain much less fat. Sugary candy also lasts longer, thus you may eat less and be burdened with less guilt for your sugar cravings.

Here are the best low fat, sugary candies that will satisfy any sweet tooth:

Skittles- Skittles come in a variety of flavors like regular, berry blast, and many others. A bag of Skittles contains just 2.5 grams of fat.

Mambas- Mambas are like Starburst candies, only better. A pack of Mambas contains 18 pieces and will give you something to snack on for a long time. A pack of Mambas contains 4.5 grams of fat, which is significantly lower than most chocolate candy bars.

Tootsie Rolls- Tootsie Rolls run deep in America's roots. They have been beloved since their invention in the 1800's. They now come in fruity flavors and are a great substitute for chocolate.

Now and Laters- Now and Laters begin as a hard candy and turn into a chewy fruit candy while in your mouth. A package of Now and Laters will last a long time and keep you away from the chocolate.

Jolly Ranchers- Jolly Ranchers are the classic hard candy. They are very long lasting and will satisfy just about any craving you may have for sugar. You can even purchase sugar free Jolly Ranchers to further your diet.
