The Best Mail Order Fresh Christmas Trees

Delivered to Your Door

Lee Davis
Many years ago, a friend put us onto an idea we have enjoyed for many years. Some years have brought Floridians an unexpected surprise. We order freshly cut Christmas trees from way up north. The smell of the season lingers long after removed trees and wreaths. Most fresh Christmas tree vendors have large assortments of Christmas trees to choose from, including size and type.

Enjoying wreaths, centerpieces and the latest Christmas gadget adds excitement to each season. We can hardly wait until our tree arrives. Most vendors give you a choice of delivery dates as per your family traditions . We purchase the spruce, fir and pine, all are beautiful. The fresh Christmas tree comes in a fourteen feet by one foot by one foot long and cube-like box. The refrigerated truck arrives and we gather around. The drivers know what we want to see. Some vendors promise delivery within twenty-four hours of cut. Everyone helps pull the tree out of the box and as soon as it clears, it springs out like a jack-in-box. We giggle and act silly.

Is there a surprise this season? We are looking for "snow". A snow-covered tree is fantastic to see. Floridians go crazy, call the family, call the neighbors and watch the snow melt in the Florida heat. After the fresh Christmas tree dries and refreshes, the trunk is submerged for a few days in Papa's special mixture. Next, we decorate. As far as the box, passers-by stare and wonder what could have come in that long cube box, a flagpole?

If you like the idea, here are the sites to view. Some show packaging process. Order soon.

I'm so lucky to live in the Pacific Northwest. We always go out into the woods and cut our own Noble Fir (only costs $5 for the permit!).
