The Best Mexican Restaurants in Greensboro, NC

El Carreton is a fairly new Mexican restaurant. It was built on Tate Street neat UNCG in Greensboro about four years ago. Located right across the street from UNCG the restaurant tends to pull in a huge college crowd, as well as a variety of professors. The bar offers specials each weeknight, and on Tuesdays has $3 Margaritas. I personally like to get the chicken tacos here; their chicken is a bit spicier than the chicken you get in tacos at other Mexican restaurants. They have all the other typical Mexican fare and fantastic margaritas. My favorite part about El Carreton is the balcony seating. They have a balcony that is really just a room that overlooks Walker Avenue below through a huge window. It's a neat place to sit, eat, and watch the world below.

What better name for a Mexican restaurant than Mexico? There is actually a chain of these Mexico Mexican restaurants in Greensboro. Of the four different locations this one on West Market Street is my favorite. The staff here is always nice, and they food is always prepared quickly and exactly as ordered.

At Mexico if you are there with a large group you can order a pitcher of margarita, which used to be one of my favorite things to do. All of the locations of this restaurant are pretty good; if you live in Greensboro there is inevitably one near you. Most of the locations have huge dining areas, so it can be a good place

Mi Pueblo has the cheapest Mexican food in town. Throughout the years they have run promotions like all you can eat tacos or tacos for $1. They have really good food, especially for the price, which is always MUCH lower than their competition. My favorite thing to get here are the tacos, however they offer all the typical Mexican fare, and all of their menu items are very reasonably priced. The parking lot for this restaurant is pretty small, so it's not really somewhere you want to go with a large group. Mi Pueblo is perfect for a quick dinner between you and a friend however. An excellent inexpensive Mexican restaurant.
