How I Saved Hanukkah by Amy Goldman Koss. How I Saw Hanukkah is a great chapter book that your children will find funny. In this picture story book, a fourth grader girl, Marla, is frustrated because she's the only Jewish student in her class while her friends and classmates are preparing for Christmas. Marla's family on the other hand doesn't really do anything to celebrate Hanukkah. Marla uses this opportunity to learn about the meaning of Hanukkah. Things get better for Marla after that. In this story, the main character, Hershel saves Hanukkah by outsmarting the scary Hanukkah goblins in his village. The goblins were destroying the holiday because they were haunting the synagogue.
