Queens is the most diverse of all the boroughs in New York City. There are plenty of things to see and do, including a wide variety of museums. Here is a list of the top museums in Queens.

1) Museum of the Moving Image located in Astoria. This museum celebrates the history and technology of the movies. This museum offers a great mix of hands-on activities and exhibits. There is plenty to see and do for both adults and children. On the weekend the museum has movie screenings, usually a classic. Among the interactive attractions include dubbing your voice into a classic movie scene, adding sound effects to a movie scene and making a short film of yourself. 2) Queens Museum of Art located in Flushing Meadow Park. This museum exhibits works by local artists. The highlight of the museum is the panorama of New York City. This huge diorama of NYC depicts all five boroughs and their parks, streets, buildings, airports, and more. You can walk above the diorama on a ramp that circles above it. 3) PS 1 Contemporary Art Museum located in Long Island City. This museum is affiliated with the Museum of Modern Art and hosts various modern paintings and sculptures. For more information visit www.ps1.org.

4) Socrates Sculpture Art Park located in Long Island City. Located on the East River Waterfront this outdoor museum exhibits sculptures of contemporary artists. For more information visit www.socratessculpturepark.org. There is no charge to visit this museum.

5) Isamu Noguchi Museum located in Long Island City. This museum was founded by sculpture Isamu Noguchi and features his modern art sculptures. For more information visit www.noguchi.org.

6) King Manor Museum located in Jamaica. This was the home and farm of Founding Father Rufus King from 1805 to 1827. Step back and see what life was like during the 19th Century. 7) Queens County Farm Museum located Floral Park. The Queens County Farm Museum occupies New York City's largest remaining tract of undisturbed farmland and is the only working historical farm in the City. The farm encompasses a 47-acre parcel that is the longest continuously farmed site in New York State.
