The Best Nassau County Wedding Venues

Wedding planning involves making very difficult decisions, choosing between one good prospect and the next. If you happen to live in Nassau County, I've narrowed down the list for you. Here are my top five wedding reception venues.

1. The Garden City Hotel
Garden City

Winner of numerous awards, The Garden City Hotel seats 30 to 650 guests and offers among many other rooms, a Grand Ballroom, a Rotunda room, a Grand salon, and an English garden. Its restaurant, Polo Restaurant, has been lauded by The New York Times and Zagat Survey for the quality of its food and service. Plates range from $140 to $250 per guests. While the prices are a little on the steeper side, consider how convenient it is that the hotel and reception can all happen at the same venue.

The Garden City Hotel offers a Wedding Pleasures package, meaning a night for the newlyweds in one of the hotel's guest rooms. The hotel also provides special rates for out of town guests.

2. The Inn at New Hyde Park

At the inn you get to choose between two wedding ceremony locations: their indoor wedding chapel or the garden gazebo wedding chapel. The place also offers a bridal room, valet parking, and an on-site party planner. The inn's cocktail reception room is called the Tuscany Room, which was designed to have an Old World Tuscan Street Market setting. Plates range from $100 to $250 a guest and can accommodate 125 to 400 people.

3. Westbury Manor
Jericho Tpke

Well known for its magnificent gardens, this English Victorian-style mansion offers an in-house party planner and on site ceremony. You can choose from 6 different rooms that have space for 10 to 450 guests. Outdoor reception is another option. The manor's menu features Continental & Italian cuisine with the plates ranging from $55 to $125.

4. Sand Castle
Franklin Square

Seating 120 to 400 guests, the Sand Castle in Franklin Square is an elegant place to have your wedding. Offering a grand ballroom with a skylight and beautiful gardens, you can choose between two menus, one of which includes a caviar station. Wedding cake is included in the menu and prices for guests start at $60 per person.

5. Jericho Terrace
Mineola

With a wedding menu that features mostly Italian cuisine as well as wedding cake, Jericho Terrace in Mineola has a price range of $55 to $130. The venue can seat 75 to 500 guests and offers an in-house party planner, valet parking, a bridal room, on site ceremonies, and an outdoor area.
