Whether you are a student home from the summer or just looking for an extra job during the summer here are some great suggestions. Most of these summer time jobs have their own perks!
Work at a city pool. If you are a licensed lifeguard you can get a job lifeguarding at your local pool or you could get a job working the snack bar. You may could even work cleaning up the pool and around the areas, or even maintenance. The perk here is probably getting to swim free on your days off or at least at a great discount.
Golf courses are a great place to work in the summertime. You can work as a cart girl driving the cart around the course offering drinks and snacks to the golfers. You can make pretty good money doing this. They usually tip really well. You can make up to $200 a day! Most golf courses will let you play golf on their course for free or at a discount. You usually get free sodas. You even get to work on your tan by being outside all day.
If you are just looking for a way to make some extra during the summer then mowing other people's yards is a great way to do this. You can ask your friends and family or even post a sign in different areas around town. Just doing one or two yards in a day can get you almost $100.
Summer time is a great time to get a job at a theme park. It is a lot of fun and most of the time you can ride the ride for free or get discounts for you and your family.
How about getting a job on a cruise? You could find all sorts of jobs on a cruise. Lifeguard, waiter, housekeeping, even an entertainer. Could be worth you checking into it.
If you enjoy spending time with kids and would like a job involving them you could offer summer time babysitting. Maybe get a summer time job at a daycare.
If you are musically inclined you could offer lessons to teach the instrument you can play. Maybe even offer voice or singing lessons.
This time of year you can usually find jobs at fast food restaurants, grocery stores and waiter/waitressing jobs at restaurants.
If you don't mind getting up early a paper route may be something you would like to do. Check with your local newspaper offices.
If you love shopping try getting a summer time job at a clothing store. Most of the time they give their employees discounts on their merchandise.
Are you into gadgets, games and everything electronics? Try getting a summertime job at a games store or even computer type store.
Summer time is suppose to be fun but you also may want to make a few dollars too. Check your local newspapers, ask around and check flyers and bulletin boards.
