The Best Part of Me - Jenn Costantino Debut Album - Review

Pop that is Not Sugary

Susan Leak
She may look innocent, but don't underestimate her strength , Jenn Costantino is a powerhouse and proves it with her debut album, 'The Best Part Of Me'.

The album is a journey , with songs of finding love, falling in love and losing love as well. Pop in style, with toe tapping beats, it is far from being sugar sweet. Jenn vocals are powerful, with depth and clarity that is like a today's Madonna or Gretchen Wilson. Which accounts for why her acoustic performances throughout New York have become very popular shows.

Many cuts off this album could be crossover hits easily, for her style is not a solid Pop. Jenn definitely has a country flair in many cuts including her title track, The Best Part of Me, which is her best by far.

On Break Away, she does break away for that and gives a gutsy, emotional rock ballad performance. With Insecurities shows just how convenient Jenn is in her vocal range and how she has no reservations of jumping on something driving , with a heavy beat.

The Best Part of Me is a good solid debut album that definitely showcases Jenn's vocals and styling. Again, if you are thinking from the looks of her she is sugary sweet, you need to take a listen. The lady has depth and soul. As the saying goes, dynamite comes in small packages, and she is dynamic. She leaves you longing for the 'Next Time Around' .
