From their quirky seating that includes swings to a sprawling bar, Mugshots is one of Hattiesburg's most active nightspots. You can watch television on a huge screen, play some pool or listen to local bands perform live. Mugshots also has the best hamburger I've ever eaten. This huge slab of meat is caked between two large buns with all the fixings. It's served with French fries, but you will be lucky to actually have room. Their burgers are big so big in fact they have one burger that if you order and eat within 15 minutes. it's free. Most burger deals run under 8 dollars and service is pretty good. Mugshots is located on 4th Street just north from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mugshots is open for lunch and dinner.

2. Chesterfield's

Chesterfield's is known for fine dining, but their hamburger is divine. Chesterfield's is located on Highway 49 across from the University of Southern Mississippi a great dining experience. This restaurant is best known for their scrumptious dinners and sinfully good desserts. Their hamburgers measure up to anything else on their menu and are not to be dismissed.

While many dine here for the seafood delicacies, their hamburger is a gourmet delight. Crescent City is heavily influenced by the flavors of New Orleans with many pasta and seafood dishes.
