Maybe you are moving and don't have room, or maybe you just want others to benefit from music in the same way you have.
Regardless of the reason, you will want to know where the best places are to donate a piano.
Fraternities and Sororities
As you know, fraternities and sororities are the most recognized social organizations of college life. And, while these have often acquired a bad reputation, fraternities and sororities are involved in fundraising activities which benefit both the college and the community.
These social college organizations are therefore good places to donate a piano. It is a way to reward them for doing charitable work.
New Churches
New churches are other good places to donate a piano. This is because establishing a new church can be a costly venture, one dependent on the donations of church members.
Donating a piano to a new church gives the church a head start in providing music in its weekly services.
Nursing Homes
Think of how expensive it is to reside in a nursing home. And, for all this cost, does this money even pay for luxuries like a piano or other types of artistic entertainment?
One of the best reasons to donate a piano to a nursing home, then, is that it can bring families together and make up for what medicare doesn't pay.
Young grandchildren have the chance to give recitals to their grandparents, for example.
And if you donate a piano to a nursing home, you might be giving an older person the chance to play for the first time.
Boys and Girls Clubs
The mission of the well known boys and girls clubs is to help others reach their full potential.
Indeed, to donate a piano to a boys or girls club is consistent with the fine arts, photography, drama, and computer-generated art activities which are already available.
To donate a piano to the boys and girls clubs of America only adds to their growth as people.
In sum, it can be a good thing to donate a piano.
But finding the best places to donate a piano has to be determined by understanding who needs the piano the most and for what reasons.
If you have only one piano to donate, for example, you will have to decide if you want to reward those who are involved in charities, help start a new church, or bring cultural pleasure to the aged and aging.

Post a CommentNursing homes and assisted living places are wonderful ideas! You're not giving up your piano are you?
I wish I had a piano to play, let alone donate. :) I had an ill friend one time in a mental institution. There was a donated piano in their sitting room. I thought it was lovely there.
