We all have children on our holiday shopping list of various ages, and chances are, they will be wanting that must have video game for Christmas. The trouble is, that many games are expensive, and do not fit into our tight budgets. The good news is, there will always be a game out there, new or old, that they have not played, and are wanting to play that we can buy at descent prices. The question is where would someone go to buy video games to save money this holiday season? Below I have listed some places I shop at to find great deals on video games for the children on my shopping list.

1. Gamestop
Game stop is a video game store that has shelves of video games new and used for sale. They have a wide selection of video games for all video gaming consoles, starting as low as $5.99 for used games. The stock of games changes daily as they take video game trade ins, keeping their inventory full in each genre of games.

2. Computer Trade Shows
A great place to find video games and save money is at Computer Trade Shows. These shows are generally held at the larger flea markets, where vendors can sell new and used computer gear which includes video games.

3. Church Rummage Sales
Church rummage sales are a great place to find video games. I have found plenty of Playstation 2 games, and other video game accessories for game boy.

4. Walmart
Walmart always seems to have a bin in their middle isle with movies and games that are marked down. The prices are generally 2 for $10 which is not a bad deal for games.

5. Online
Websites like Ebay, and Craigslist often have plenty of video games for sale in the computer section. Another website to check for new and used video games is www.amazon.com. Amazon has a list of video games new and used with comparable prices.

6. Video Rental Stores
Video rental stores like Hollywood Video and Blockbuster have a rack or an area designated for the sale of their gently used video games. You can find numerous games at these stores for kids to young adults. The prices are generally $6.99 per game depending on the name.
