The Best Places to Find Plus Size Halloween Costumes

As a plus size woman, I know just how hard it can be to locate plus-size Halloween costumes. Many stores offer absolutely nothing beyond a size 12-14, while others stores offer meager pickings. They list 2-3 Halloween costumes in plus sizes and think that makes them special. After spending hours visiting website after website to find my costume this year, I've decided to share some of the best places I've found.

Halloween Express is a great store that offers costumes in plus sizes or extended sizes for both men and women. Most of their costumes are adult and sexy in nature such as the Dr. Anita Hardwon or the Officer Naughty look. They have so many in stock that it's hard for me to not order everything they have.

Halloween Adventure is another place to look for great plus size costumes. One of my favorites is the "socket and plug" set for couples, but they also have Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, Little Red Riding Hood and even a Playboy Bunny costume. They also have several superhero costumes available in larger sizes including Batgirl, Supergirl and Wonder Woman. Like Halloween Express they also have larger sized costumes for men.

Anytime Costumes is a good place to look if you want a plus size Halloween outfit that isn't quite so sexy in nature. They have a variety of Halloween costumes available that are a little tamer such as the pirate, goddess or disco diva look. They also have licensed products such as superheroes available.

3 Wishes is the place to go if you're confident of your body and not afraid to show it off. Their costumes are definitely a little risqué in nature and show off more skin than most of the other websites listed here. Even their Minnie Mouse costume shows a lot of leg and you have to see the Office Tramp costume to believe it exists. On the plus side, if you wear one of these costumes to your next Halloween party, you won't be going home alone.

Last on the list is the Plus-Size Costume Shop. The only thing that kept me from listing this higher is that the costumes are shown as is rather than on a model so it's a little hard to imagine what they look like. These outfits are hand made and they don't keep a lot in stock so if you see something you like, order it as soon as you can. The website is perfect for those who want something a little more modest or those who like gothic things.

These five websites are the best places to look if you need a plus size Halloween costume. You can find almost anything you want from a chambermaid to a border patrol officer. This Halloween all eyes will be on you.
