Here would be your first place to go, that would be most active and fun for your dog. Going to Feather River is a lot of fun. Great for a hike and a nature filled swim. Your dog will enjoy running around jumping in the beautiful clear water. When I go, all who goes with me, enjoys every minute of it, especially my dogs! Now that summer is here, who can wait? The best spot to go is off Clark Rd. in Paradise Ca. Down Dean Rd. It would be better to bring a truck down the dirt road! I go every summer and believe me this would be a great choice.
Now another great spot would be Lime Saddle. It is a lake as well as having a Campground that you can stay at. A great place to take your dog swimming, as well as the family for that yearly camping trip! The lake has went down, so a small walk is involved. When you get there it is so fun. The dogs love it! Be prepared to see quit a few other dogs around. It seems to be a good favorite for many. So if your dog does not do well with other dogs, bring on a leash or choose one of these other spots in the guide.

Another fun place to go is Paradise lake. Not a place for people to swim, but great for your pet! A beautiful secluded and quiet area. Lots of trees around. There is a trail you can fallow around the lake. Which makes choosing a spot for your dog to swim, will be endless. There is not a lot of people there at one time, but sometimes you will encounter a few people. So if your dog tends to be aggressive, I would suggest a leash and muzzle to be on hand! Your dog will enjoy clean water and so much fun! a great place to throw a toy out in the water for a game of water fetch! There is a safety warning regarding bear sitings, so be on the lookout and do not let your dog wander off into the trees!
I hope all three of these will guide you to a great swimming spot for your dog. I know your friend will thank you when he/she sees what fun you will be giving. Always remember safety when taking your pet out and out swimming. Watch out for rattle snakes, bears, and other wildlife that can be of harm to you and your pet. If your dog looks tired then let him or her have a few minutes to rest , you do not want them stuck out in the middle of the lake warn out! Have a great summer and be sure to take your dog swimming!
