If you choose to take a trip to Prague, you will quickly realize that there is a lot to see and do. If it is your first time in the city, you might find that you soon get overwhelmed by all of the places you can visit. The great thing about Prague is that there are many companies which offer amazing walking tours, so you can witness all of the best parts! Here is a guide to some of the most fun walking tours in the city.
Prague Tour and Boat Trip
If you want a full day out, the best thing to do is to take the full walking tour of the city. There is a lot of walking involved because it literally takes you all around the city. The pace is slow, because the guide stops at numerous points to explain certain places in detail, but if you tire easily, it may be better to take a shorter tour. If you do choose to go on this one, wear comfortable shoes! On the way around, you will be taken to Prague Castle, The Lesser Town, Charles Bridge, lunch in a fantastic underground pub, and on a mini cruise! It is a wonderful day out, and well worth it if you have plenty of time.
Prague Castle Tour
Prague Castle is absolutely magnificent. It has an incredible history, and if you are into hearing about the origins of ancient buildings, this is the tour for you. It only takes two hours out of your day, and for the things you will learn, it is absolutely worth it. As well as seeing the castle, you also get an in-depth look into St. Vitus Cathedral, and the beauty of it will blow your mind!
Prague Pub Tour
If you enjoy a good beer, there is no better city than Prague! The beer is cheap, and it tastes great! The pub tour is three hours long and your guide will take you to some of the local traditional Czech taverns. On your way, you will get to sample the best beer, and taste some of the top local dishes!
Ghosts and Legends Tour
Do you like a good ghost story? Yes? Then you will have a blast as you go to some of Prague's most haunted places. Some of the ghost stories about Prague are fascinating. You might hear the tale of St. John of Nepomuk at the Charles Bridge, or hear about the hauntings in the Jewish Quarter! If you're very lucky, you might even capture a ghostly image with your camera!
Every Prague walking tour has its own special strengths. Think about the things you are looking for and pick on which suite you best!
