Littleton, Colorado is a historic town that has been absorbed into the suburbs of the Denver Metro area. Downtown Littleton is only a few blocks long, but it offers a variety of quaint small-town dining experiences and a wide range of ethnic foods.

The Melting Pot

Probably the most well known restaurant in Historic Downtown Littleton, The Melting Pot specializes in high-quality fondue. The restaurant is located at 2707 West Main Street in what was originally Littleton's Carnegie Library, built in 1917. The beautiful arched windows and lofty ceiling awe you as you walk through the door, while the cozy basement booths and dim lighting perfectly complement the delicious, intimate meal. The combination of five-star food and a sense of history make The Melting Pot an experience you will never forget.

Abe's Café

Located at 2479 West Main Street, in the historic Coors Building, Abe's Café offers an array of delicious food and deserts in a casual atmosphere. Choose from soups, salads, and sandwiches, a variety of hot and cold drinks, and a half a dozen flavors of ice cream. The original hardwood floors and ice cream parlor-style tables and chairs provide a perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy your meal.

Sisters Expresso

Tired of the same old coffee shop chains? Check out Sisters Expresso at 2506 West Alamo Avenue. Located in the bottom floor of a beautiful old house, Sisters serves tasty treats and high quality coffee, smoothies, and other delicious drinks in a unique setting.

Romano's Pizzeria

Italian cuisine is another of those simple pleasures that has been all but destroyed by modern commercialism. If delicious pizzas and pastas in a down-to-earth place is what you seek, then look no further than 5666 South Windermere. A family-owned presence in Littleton for almost forty years, Romano's serves a perfect blend of Italian food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy it.

Symposium Cafe

Symposium Café adds variety to Littleton's dining experience with Greek and American cuisine. Located at 819 West Littleton Boulevard, Symposium offers a comfortable combination of novel and traditional dishes and a laid-back diner-like atmosphere.

Kai

If authentic Japanese cuisine is what you're hungry for, Kai is the place. Whether you order noodles, tempura, sushi, or another dish, you will agree that Kai's is the best Japanese food in town. But don't take my word for it - experience the difference yourself at 699 West Littleton Boulevard!

Wild Ginger

To top off the array of Asian cuisine offered in Littleton, Wild Ginger serves authentic Thai food that has earned a reputation of excellence in the Denver Metro area. Located at 399 West Littleton Boulevard, Wild Ginger's atmosphere is as authentic as its food; to complete your Thai experience, request one of the restaurant's booths, and be seated on an elevated "floor" in a traditional setting.

The Many Tastes of Littleton

No matter where your taste buds lead you, rest assured that you can't go wrong in old Littleton. Whether your craving demands Italian or Asian, casual or sophisticated, the selection ensures satisfaction!

Wow, that was unnecessarily nasty. I don't write much for Associated Content, which is why my articles are all older, and I certainly have no obligation to you to do so. I hope you're not affiliated with either Merle's or JaJa, because you're certainly not doing them any favors by leaving nasty spammy comments.

Katherine, please, please, PLEASE ignore the last posters suggestion to check out the Mill restaurant. While the beers may be great (I went for lunch during work, so I couldn't tell you), the food was terrible. It seems that the chef thinks that a good substitution for flavor is grease. The salad came out of a mixed greens bag from Sam's club, the fish in the fish and chips is too deeply breaded to actually taste the fish, and the fries are under done. They have been out of clam chowder for a week, and while the Monte Cristo may be piled high with meat, it is covered by two peices of soggy french toast as bread, and served with a side of boysenberry syrup, instead of the traditional jelly.

    Katharine....

You need to check out Mill Steakhouse Brewery. They have a great menu (including steak, of course...but that's not all) for lunch and dinner. But, that's not all. The Mill is also Littleton's only independent brewpub. Right now, they have 8 handcrafted beers on tap, including a seasonal Wheat and an Autumn Ale. All of this is located in an historic 1901 mill building that was built by Richard Little, the founding father of Littleton. 5798 S. Rapp Street
