I have compiled a list of some of the best websites to buy retro Christmas cards and will give you some of the estimated prices of each one and give you a personal opinion of how good of a selection each site is.
Whatsbuzzin.com lists several styles of retro greeting cards. My favorite is the snap shot calendar girl cards. For under $15 you get 8 cards and envelopes. They also have retro model train Christmas cards, retro toy robot Christmas cards, retro toy Christmas cards, and a variety of other retro style cards with snap shots of old black and white photos. These cards are really neat and are all about $12 per box of 8 cards.
Retro Tropical Christmas cards can also be purchased for about $12 per box. These cards range in various vintage style tropical themes.
A site called Retro to Go offers some interesting retro Christmas cards as well; one such card displays Santa riding a scooter. These cards are approximately $2 per card, or, $5 for a box of all 4 designs that they offer.
An interesting site called Retro-Housewife has several 50s inspired retro cards. My favorites are listed on the first page of Lucille Ball.
You can also find a plethora of retro greeting cards on eBay. Many of the online stores carry the cards all of the time or, you may be able to bid on a box and get a great price. Auctions are always starting and stopping so it is never too late to check it out.
Sometimes it is easier to find basic retro cards at certain retail stores. I find them most of the time at grocery stores and dollar stores. These places tend to carry the less flashy Christmas cards at a very reasonable rate. You can buy 10 cards for a dollar at most dollar only stores.
Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and of course Hallmark will be carrying retro cards as well.
But, to find the truly unique boxes of greeting cards, your best bet is to check on line. The sites listed above truly offer some really unique and nice cards that you are unlikely to find at major retail stores.
