The Best Revenge
They say the best revenge is doing well,
And I try so hard to believe!
One foot in front of the other,
Loving myself, like my brother!
Now, I love my self a little more,
As I stand up on my feet, once more.
I practice not thinking about the past,
About how my life was so thoroughly trashed…
My focus is on today, and doing well,
I've stopped cursing others to go to hell!
